Commenced ~15:06 UTC with SB, JC, CC, DD, JH, NI, CL.
CC: has done some research on IDREFS attrs, but thinks that most of them would be singular uses.
XHTML folks not happy about XLink due to prefix on attr name. XLink revisited, but fixes are too namespace cumbersome.
DD report on members' meeting.
DD points out lack of attribute name index in back of P4.
Attribute research due 11-11. Include opinion on impact of changing given attr.
SB: use indirection for plural instead of out-of-document? DD: yes.
IDREF strategy — not enough info yet.
Brief tangent on graphs: RDF or TM probably better suited.
SB to take a look at TM v RDF for representing graphs.
[?...?] Between them JC and CL are going to produce some examples of actual data (small sample from an existing linguistic corpus) encoded in current TEI and using XLink, but I did not follow the division of labour completely. JC to send samples to CL who converts to XLink, perhaps?
discussion on regexps tabled
- which schema language(s) will P5 likely be supporting?
- heads up on ID/IDREF nuking;
ISO Linguistic Annotation Framework will have workshop 11-21/23. Quite a few of us (NI, DD, JC; who else?) will be there.
Appendix A:
Wrapped up at ~15:48 UTC.
