Formulate a list of document, source, or text types of particular interest to historians. 3. Formulate an account of important analytic or interpretive proce- dures, and the types of (encodable) information they require, which are of particular importance to the historical disciplines. 4. Make a preliminary evaluation of TEI P1 as to the facilities it provides for handling these text types, procedures, and ancillary information. 5. Formulate a list of work groups needed to create document type definitions, tags, and documentation for the encoding of the text types not now adequately handled by TEI P1, or tags and documenta- tion for analytic or interpretive information of particular inter- est to historians. For each work group, specify a list of con- crete objectives and requirements, and suggest deadlines for the work. 2 ADMINISTRATIVE Work group reports to Committee for Text Analysis and Interpretation. Head of the work group is Daniel Greenstein. Members of the work group are those specified in the proposal from AHC; participation by North Americans should be sought in the form of attendance at the meeting or comment on drafts. Funding is authorized for one meeting. 3 DEADLINES Reformulation of objectives is due 15 November 1990. Preliminary report on work groups required (AI4 W2) due 7 December 1990.
